Hacked Objects For Sims 1

Welcome to Somesimthings. This is a website that I have put together so that anyone who wants to can download my objects. I have been playing The Sims for about Five years, and I have been interested in hacking all the time. I started hacking objects for my own game, and this is my way of sharing them with others. I like to make new functions for my Sims to try out .

I have recently added a few updates, and I have a few more that I'm working on. I have kept all my files, and I've always had the game installed on my PC. Every now and then I play a little. And now I have been looking into some old files and I try to finish some "almost ready" objects. And I'm also working on some new hacks. I don't have that much time to play but IFF Pencil is still fun. On this site you will find objects with Maxis original graphics or graphics Ive made myself. Some have graphics I use with permission. I have done the hacking with first Script Station and later IFF Pencil 2, excellent programs. In the skillbuilding section there are objects to help you improve your skills when you are away from home. There are some hacked toys in the kids section. You can find hacked decorative objects like the Supersculpture and No newspaper sign. I also host objects by mtaman and Ludic. I have written a small hacking tutorial for how to fix the problem with objects disappearing when you go to live mode if you don't have the right expansionpack and some other hacking tutorials for beginners .

Hacked objects for sims 1

All downloads are free. I hope you enjoy these objects. You can clone the ones with Maxis or my own graphics and use your own graphics if you want to, but you must give me credit for the hacking if you put them up for download on a webpage. There is a magic cookie The Sims 2 section was updated on December 22 2009 with a hacked coffee maker. I also have a hacked coffee maker and a hacked bed, and some new meshes. Hedda

I started by submitting my skins to The Sims Resource. Much to my surprise, they achieved relative popularity. So I opened a Tripod site and uploaded my skins and a few objects. Over time I lost interest in skins and became fascinated with the potential of objects in The Sims. I thank the brilliant individuals in the community who made object hacking more accessible. Don Hopkins, Tom van Dijk, and James Sausville come to mind.

Hacked objects in TS1 were objects that were hacked in such a way that they could modify Sim character traits, Sim relationships, or Sim moods just by having a Sim use them, or added other functionality that a cloned or recolored object would not have. Some hacked objects even came with their own new animations. In Sims 1, the hacked functionality of the object was built into the object .iff file itself, though sometimes coming with separate animation files or skin files.

Hacked objects in Sims 2 were not just changed in appearance, but also had added functionality. Like Sims 1, .sims2package files and .package files often contained the hacks. Mod the Sims categorizes these files as Object Mods.

The Sims Depot is not the only site dedicated to the Sims 1. Because the Sims is still being played by so many people around the world, there are dozens of amazing websites, Yahoo! groups and communities on the web still hosting a large number of tools, objects, skins and tutorials for Sims 1 fans such as yourself. Below are the best of the bunch.

Hacks and hacked objects are items that change certain aspects of gameplay, for better or for worse. This listing also includes links to cheats and instructions for tricks that work similarly to hacks or hacked objects.

For cheats marked as "shift click," you'll first need to type "testingCheats [true/false]" into the cheat menu. With testing cheats on, you can unlock some new Shift-Click menu options on Sims, objects, or the ground.

With testingCheats active, you'll be able to move Sims between families, fill up their needs and happiness bars, dirty or clean up objects, and teleport Sims anywhere you like, among a few others detailed below.

traits.equip_trait Ghost_OldAge [Pet ID] will turn your pet into a ghost if you are either an absolute monster or (spoiler alert) attempting an elaborate Sim version of John Wick. To get your pet's ID (you monster), use sims.get_sim_id_by_name [PetFirstName] [PetLastName]

In The Sims 2, players who wish to use custom content must specifically enable it, and must re-enable it after adding a new expansion pack or stuff pack. For players with Nightlife or later, or any stuff pack, the dialog which allows this must be enabled in Game Options. Players who want to use custom buy mode and build mode objects must also go into Game Options and tell the game to show custom content in the catalogs. Players who want to use recolors of Maxis buy and build objects must use the Color Enabler Package from modthesims.info.

Objects are another popular type of custom content. Customizing an object often involves recoloring all or part of it, but may involve changing its shape. Some creators have even made what are effectively new objects and creators with programming skills can even make completely new functional objects.

Some content for The Sims was what players of later games would recognize as mods, but most game modifications for The Sims took the form of "hacked objects", objects that were modified to have new functions and interactions. Object hacking was frequently a way of getting around limitations of the game engine. For example, there are hacked objects which allow players to move Sims from one family to another without using the "Marriage" or "Move In" interactions, or to remove them from the game. With a little creativity, players could use these objects to move Sims into their own houses, even though the game itself did not provide for that. There was also some promotional content made for The Sims in the form of custom content, such as the McDonald's Food Kiosk.

This program retrieves GUIDs from objects. This is extremely useful for object hackers to look for GUIDs so they can change them in another program. It's now been updated with a much nicer look. It can even retrieve the original GUIDs that the object was cloned from! Please note: The program does NOT like hacked objects, it will freeze up on them, it's only meant to be used on Non-Hacked objects.

Updated with a new look and a couple of bugs fixed, Here's the program everyone's been waiting for! This will view objects thumbnails, and lets you zoom up close. This is a super fast way to get your objects organized! This will not work well with Vacation or Higher.

Want Edith? Well, this program is the closest you can get to getting it. This has to be the most powerful tool that has been created. What it does is edit the Behavior of Sim Objects. You can do amazing stuff with this program if you take the time to learn, it can give a whole new feeling to objects. You can even add menus, interactions, animations, and more.

SimExplorer is a utility to view resources inside The Sims. This includes IFF (Objects), SPR (Sprites/Bitmaps), WLL (Walls), and FLR (Floor) files from The Sims. The layout and use is just like Windows Explorer, but instead of getting file details you get object details including a preview image, name, price and description of the item. This handy utility will let you organize those hundreds of floors you just downloaded quickly and easily. You can also use it to peek inside of objects and see what makes them tick.

SimOrganizer is the answer to all of your object categorization needs! This extremely easy-to-use program allows you to view and edit an object's name, description, price, and most importantly: catalog sorts. You can also view the objects thumbnail (if it has one). If that's not enough, SimOrganizer also has a feature called "presets" with the ability to save common object categorizations, allowing you to categorize any object with a single click! In addition to all this, you have the ability to fully control what directories the program looks in for IFF files.

Object crashing your game? Well, then you need this program. This cool utility check's all of the objects you have downloaded and checks for their IDs. If a duplicate ID is found, then you can remove it and fix the game's crashing problem. A really useful program, which all people should have if they download objects. 2ff7e9595c
